Local Action Fund programme

Programmes targeted at those individuals who have not had the benefit of experiencing outdoor education and adventure.

Emphasis will be placed on engaging participants at an early stage in the decision making programme and providing the activities that meet the aims and objectives identified by the participants themselves

Each of the programmes will involve a four-day programme concentrating on one particular activity in order to develop existing skills or to allow the gaining new skills. Once the four days have passed the group will either engage on a two day residential/expedition experience where they would put into practice the skills gained over the initial part of the programme and use them to good effect, or alternatively will undertake two additional programme days on a non-residential basis.
